Specialized High Schools and SHSAT Workshop for Parents

On November 8th, we held a Specialized High Schools and SHSAT workshop for 5th through 8th grade parents. This event is part of our Empowerment Through Education workshop series. Parents learned how they can get their child into a Specialized High School. Our workshops help parents to ensure their child’s successful future and guide them on the path to the School-to-Success Pipeline. Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) Workshop

On August, African Matters in collaboration with African Advisory Council, Africans Help Desk, and BronxWorks held a workshop on the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) for families. Resume Writing and Interview Preparation

This workshop provides resume writing assistance including an overview of the essential elements of a resume, interview preparation, and interview etiquette for job seekers.

Citizenship Test Preparation

The course will include preparation for the test and in person interview needed for US citizenship. It will culminate in a practice test to assess the individuals readiness.
